I am a Council on Library & Information Resources (CLIR) research fellow at the University of Oklahoma Libraries where I am studying applications of virtual reality (VR) technology for scholarly research and teaching, and considering how to preserve research data associated with VR. I am just finishing up my PhD in Library and Information Science at Rutgers University. My dissertation is entitled “The Construction of Preservation Knowledge in the Artisanal Digital Reformatting of Analog Video Recordings,” and it looks at how media preservationists construct knowledge in their work of digitizing analog video tapes. In January, I co-edited a special issue of the online journal, First Monday, entitled "Viewing Patterns: Information and Media Infrastructures": http://firstmonday.org/ojs/index.php/fm/issue/view/499
